[Toshi is currently looking at the monitor in the data bunker and the monitor seems to be showing what is going on in the Magi Event]

Teiji: Sensei? What exactly are you watching right now?

Toshi: Teiji, good timing. I believe you know what this event is, right? I recall that you have actually been to this event before?

Teiji: No, not really. I have been to the part of the event at the very last moment before the Magi went away and I more or less know that they come in each year.

[Toshi then gives the invitation to Teiji]

[Teiji takes a look at it before going back to look at Toshi again]

Teiji: Is this… Really the invitation to the Magi Event?

Toshi: Yeah, pretty much. Why do you ask? By your own admission, you did went there before, so what is the difference now?

Teiji: Mmm… I suppose it wouldn’t really hurt to go there again, though the last sign they gave me wasn’t a very good one, more like a warning.

Toshi: This year might be different, so… Let us… check it out?

[Teiji held on to Toshi’s paw just when she was focusing on the location of the event as she begins to teleport them both]

Boss: Someone found in a random spot near the beach. The bottle has some purple goo on it. Good luck, agent!

V: Anyways, that was me who found this bottle.

A: Why you haven't told me earlier?

V: I didn't because you were ignorin' me!

A: *sigh*...

V: Anyway, I should get goin'. The duty calls for another mission...

V: I hope our paths cross once again, Agent P3K0!

A: You too, Agent VEE!

VEE enters the wormhole and disappears.

A: Phew, he's gone now... Well, it's time to come back home- I mean to my office and wear my suit...well...only shirt and tie cause it'll probably be hot there...

She watches the Crown Shrine one last time before leaving.

[This time around Luxu was able to join the others in their preparations for the festivities, making the trip to Alola with Gabe and Oscar as they met up with Nat to plan. Even with how Nat had been up to then, he could muster enough energy and willpower to lend a hand. Besides, there were customs to tend to.]

[The younger 'rai watched as bottles were sorted into boxes, a variety of decorations on groups of them. Gabriel pointed to each set, explaining what made them different.]

Gabe: Some of them are to sell around to others here in Alola, some are to gift, and some are for ourselves. Marking the bottles makes it easy to remember which is which, since some batches are a little better than others. It's pretty hard to find the difference though, since the quality is pretty level across the board.

[He then gestured to a lone bottle that sat on its own on the nearby table, the bottle decoration somewhat worn compared to the others.]

[He grabbed a few small glasses and poured a small amount, handing one each to Nat and Oscar. This version wasn't quite the kind Luxu was ready to handle, but the young Darkrai took no offense to it. He was content enough with having his curiosity acknowledged, no matter how frequent his questions were.]

[Luxu watched as Gabe poured the rest of the bottle-a majority of its contents-onto the ground, perplexed. He had just said it was the best of the best, why was he wasting it?]

[Once the bottle was empty and placed at the base of the tree, Gabe sat down in the grass and looked over to the young 'rai.]

Gabe: You're old enough to understand I think. Think of it as an offering, to those who have moved on. I'm not exactly in the same situation as Nat'a, who doesn't talk to his family. Mine are...

[He casually gestured upwards, as if weaving his hand through the breeze that had blown through.]

Gabe: My dad taught me how to make this specific recipe. Every time I make it, I leave the best to him. This is also the tree that my mom tended to every chance she got, so that's why I do it in this specific spot.

[The Darkrai wasn't sure what to make of it. It wasn't something he could wrap his head around. He couldn't imagine a life without his own father, let alone any of them. The thought hurt him to his very core, unsure of what to do.]

[But he did what he could, wasting no time in wrapping his arms around the other human with the beginnings of a smile.]

Luxu: Well... at least you still have us, right...?

[The gesture caught him off guard for a quick moment, Gabe relaxing with a soft smile moments after.]

Yeah, I'll always have you guys.

"You think everything not related to your job is a waste of time."

"That's because it usually is!" Vourison snapped, glaring at Voxgatum, who was giving him a cheeky grin.

"Oh come oooooon, take a break every once in a while! Relax, have fun!" The laid back lugia said with a grin.

"Of all the people telling me to relax, the LAST PERSON I want to hear it from is the one who got ATTACKED just a couple days prior." Vourison said, still clearly angry about what had occurred.

"Look, I get that you're a big ol' worry wart," Vourison squawked snarled in protest, "But me and mom have been to this island multiple times, and it's fine. And If anything does happen, we can just have mom blast them to oblivion, no big deal." Vox said, waving at their mother who was corralling Loraifon, Tempora, and Iter together, ensuring nobody strayed too far or got lost.

"Besides," He continued, "from what I heard, the last event you took the kids to was a sleepover. A Sleepover. Kids need waaaay more engagement then that, I'm sure they were bored out of their minds, right?" He aimed that last part at the conjoined dragons, who turned to look at him.

Iter tilted her head in thought. While a bit slow, she personally didn't mind the calm pace of the sleepover. It was quite nice, really!

Tempora, however, had no brain to mouth filter, and said very loudly and bluntly, "Yeah it was kinda boring." much to Iter's dismay, a low and worried warbling leaving the palkia's throat.

"See?" Vox said, his point proven, ignoring Vourison's glare.

"Mine dearest of children, whilst I see both of your perspectives equally and fully, it would be remiss of us to dismiss the worries of one who is most worried for legitimate reasons." Maksviah carefully cut in, stepping forward to gently nudge Vourison with her snout, "Your worry is true, however you must understand that this isle is kind and safe, as I have been here multiple times and seen it for myself. No harm shall come to you."

And so, with a grumble and reluctant nod, Vourison agreed to join the festival.

(@rescuerivy) She spots Agatha and wave her down. "Excuse me, miss! Or sir? Um... friend?" She's worried about misgendering her. "Can you help? I tripped on the rocks and dropped my mask in the water. I really need it back!"

Chrono Magi Retreat Posts

Agatha recognized the effort in gendering, but chose to focus on the mask issue first. This one was obviously worried.

“What does your mask look like, and which rocks did you drop it at? I can take a look for you.”

Agatha gave a small smile. While she didn’t vocalize this, she wondered what Pokémon Ivy was- perhaps she’d run into other individuals at some point, but she didn’t know every species that existed.

After the exchange of information, the cecaelia disappeared into the black waters for some time.

Despite the lack of light, Agatha had little trouble navigating the darkness itself. Once she reached the sandy floors by the rocks, she found the mask, thankfully only carried a little ways from its original location.

After her ascent to the surface, her head popped back up from the waters. She lifted the mask in a tentacle, which dripped with salt water.
